Yesterday I got to experience a little bit of Americana as I was taken through a Thanksgiving tasting menu prepared by TGI Fridays and I have to tell you it was delicious. The dining giant have taken the liberty of capturing the timeless holiday and putting together a capsule menu that invitingly allows Australian’s to experience the feeling of the holiday and as you work your way through the options, or tasting plates – whichever you choose, you are left with no option but to see just why the yanks make such a big deal of this feast!
Now for those who know me well you’ll know I recently moved back to eating vegetarian and thankfully the menu allowed for some quick changes, so yes you other veggies will have something for you to eat also, but for those of you who eat meat their are endless options you can get. From delectable sides and starters like mash and gravy, mac-n-cheese and sliders followed by main meals of turkey wraps and roasts and for those of you with a sweet tooth don’t think you’re forgotten the pecan pie is a must and the spiced toffee apple cocktail is something I know I’ll be going back for.
I choose to take three of my close friends in to see what they thought too and honestly the reaction was way beyond what I could foresee. From the amazing hospitality to the world class food and drinks the brand really captured just what the Americans love about thanksgiving and brought it straight to your plate!
