Last week I had the chance to see and play with the new Autumn/Winter collection by Sydney menswear designer Justin Cassin before shooting it yesterday on home grown hunk, model Tom Pilon! The 30+ piece collection is another evolution for the brand and showcases both where the brand is heading as well as paying homage to where it’s come from and showcases just why the esteemed menswear designer is regarded as one at the top of his field. With all the essential winter pieces, and some show-stopping new layered pieces the shoot was ready to be shot and I was ready to roll on the creative direction.
From its streetwear background the designer known for his eloquent tailoring allowed me to show his new pieces as if on the streets of Melbourne or London. Shot in the old-worldliness of the inner-city Sydney suburb the rocks the juxtaposition of old and new is layered together to showcase just why we buy hime grown goods. In an effort to showcase outerwear and basic staples the shoot not only looks at the pieces stylistically but also functionally – and embodies the busy modern man who wears it!
If you’re yet to see the brand new Justin Cassin A/W21 collection then look no further, I have a first look at the shoot below featuring some of my favourite images of the day. Make sure you check out the full collection online now before these beautifully tailored pieces all go to good homes…
