Music To Our Ears: Sailor Jerry’s X Sydney Music Pt.2

Last night famed rum brand Sailor Jerry showcased it’s love for local music and the #SupportLocal movement in an intimate gig that featured Newcastle rock group Eat Your Heart Out in an acoustic set unlike you have ever heard them at one of Sydney’s most iconicity intricate venues! Showcasing local talent to the globe has always been one of the brands core values and in a time where happiness is needed more than ever, as well as support for the local art that Australia is so well-known for, the brands 4 part gig series is a welcome relief to live music who since COVID has come to a stand still all over the globe.

Taking us through a journey of beautiful melody the usually 5 piece band performed as a trio in an acoustic only set that allowed both the small amount of attendees and hundreds watching online to not only see and experience live music in a new and creative way but also to enjoy a moment we usually wouldn’t get together no matter where we were or who we were with. The band played a back-catalogue of music in perfect succession stopping only to anecdotally tell us of the stories and memories that made the songs what they are and having sat in the crowd I can tell you first hand this beautifully intricate and layered experience was one I won’t soon forget!

If you haven’t yet you can relive the first 2 sets from Sailor Jerry‘s #SupportLocal live gigs on their instagram and don’t forget to stay tuned to their socials for the next two gigs which I am sure will be as epic as these first two have proven themselves to be.
