Underground Soiree: Employees Only’s 1st Birthday

Last night, after dark, the renowned New York prohibition styled bar nestled inside Sydney’s CBD, Employee’s Only, celebrated it’s first birthday with a bang and as Jazz filled the air streams and cocktails flowed Sydney’s elite got a first class look at how they partied way back when. Filled to the brim with men in suits and ladies all dolled up the swinging party had everything you needed for the perfect concoction and served us a Monday night treat guests won’t soon forget!

From cabaret dancers on the bar top whom risqué-ly bared it all to a bewitching tarot reader in the corner ready to tell of your fortune, good or bad, the bar really spared no expense when it came to re-creating the feel of the prohibition law, and from the moment you walked in to the underground bar it was as if you had been teleported into the realm of someone who just wanted to enjoy a drink and remain anonymous for doing so. With delectable hors d’oeuvres and mouth watering cocktails the night went off with a bang, and having seen it first hand I can tell you I know a place that will keep all your secrets!

If you weren’t lucky enough to get an invite to Employee’s Only’ 1st birthday then you missed out on one swinging party but I have some photos below, from the most happening party in town – including some of my favourite parts of the night. Make sure you check out the cool underground bar for yourself, open to the pubic every night of the week.
