Turning trash into treasure and doing their part to reduce the fashion waste in their communities, which in recent years has seen this country hit an all time high of, acclaimed Australian charity brand Vinnies NSW team has created their very first product range, re/CYCLE, that not only is everything we want, but something we all won’t want to live without, and now we won’t have to with the sustainable products available all over the state! Following on from the devastating year that plagued the world with a pandemic of monstrous precautions and the subsequent rise of the circular economy the brands first range of homeware essentials is the perfect way to stop the process of “wasted” fashion being thrown out and allowing for a bigger conversation of recycled goods to be heavily thought about while allowing us, the consumer to give to a charity who’s good deeds are felt all over the country.
The range, that includes throw blankets, beach towels, tea towels, rugs, cushions and other homeware essentials are made solely from donations made to brands stores which are deemed not able to be sold on the shop floor but instead the pieces are re or up-cycled from there current conditions into amazingly beautiful pieces that I know first hand will fit into any household. re/CYCLE is named as a nod to the repurposed and circular nature of its original source and allows both the conscious consumer and those who want to start being more concious about their choices the chance to by a pre-owned product made new – and feel helpful while doing it as all proceeds from the sales of the range are used to support people experiencing poverty, homelessness and hardship, including the growing number of households financially struggling due to COVID-19.
