Yesterday I was treated to a first look at Sydney’s very first Kit Kat Chocolatory ahead of it’s opening on July 6th and I can tell you first-hand it is set to send your taste buds on one-hell of a ride. From magical drink/coffee creations to delectable desserts that only occur in your dreams chocolate lovers of all ages are in for an experience a lifetime as the iconic brand showcases not only it’s full range of offerings. Sporting mix’s from all over the globe the store offers you an in-depth look at just what the brand has build in it’s 80+ years and boy do they have some surprises installed for you!
You could be forgiven for not knowing that the brand has more than what you see in the grocery store but after taking a view of the new store myself even I was surprised at just how much they had to offer. The stand out feature for me was the mixing bar where you can create your own bars, last night I got to try this first hand, and let me tell you it is one of the funnest cooking experiences I’ve ever had. You can choose your flavour chocolate, your favourite mix-ins and showcase your creative side all in a custom piece or you can opt for something more traditional – a mini bar (yes they have 12 flavours), a bespoke piece (one of their cookies or single hand-crafted fingers) with a curated coffee, or you can opt for a global approach and select one of the brands pre-mixed bars from around the world flavoured with a multitude of options. They even have a carousel area where you can select a bespoke finger or one of their custom plates that showcases some pretty fine-dining ingenuity.
